SCHOOL TOURS

Situated within the Cradle of Humankind, NIROX Sculpture Park has developed over time as a site for artistic production, research and public engagement. Established as part of a broader ecological reserve, NIROX brings together contemporary sculpture, landscape and environmental stewardship, creating a space where art and nature are experienced in close relation. Alongside the park, the Villa-Legodi Centre for Sculpture supports ongoing residency programmes, fostering sustained engagement with material practice and artistic research.

The NIROX tours programme offers visitors an opportunity to engage more deeply with this unique environment through guided walkabouts and structured visits. These tours provide insight into the history and development of the park, while also introducing visitors to the current exhibitions and the broader programme of activities across the site. A key aspect of the experience is access to the Villa-Legodi Centre for Sculpture, where visitors are able to encounter the working processes of artists in residence through studio visits and informal exchanges.

Through these guided engagements, the tours programme creates a space for closer interaction with both the landscape and the artistic practices it supports, offering a more nuanced understanding of NIROX as a site of ongoing production and dialogue.
